Will iPhone Become more Accessible?

According to Kathryn Huberty, one of the leading analysts at the investment bank Morgan Stanley, it is possible that Apple will lower the price of next-generation iPhone, called iPhone 4G, when this model will be officially launched in June this year. She states that the high cost of the latest iPhone models hinders their advancement not only in the so-called emerging markets, but also in the U.S. and rich countries, and Apple, one way or another, will have to pay attention to this problem.

It is worth noting that, according to Cathy Huberty, iPhone 4G will be not only more affordable, but also receive a number of new features, especially in terms of touch screen. As she wrote in a note to investors, Morgan Stanley has data showing that Apple is working in this direction. Relating to iPad, Kathy Hubert believes that Apple could easily sell up to 6 million of tablets this year, not 3.4 million, as Wall Street analysts think. iPad will be able to gain a foothold in the market of mobile devices due to budget laptops, which cost about 800 dollars. Correlatively to preliminary estimates, total sales in this segment of the market may reach 30 million units per year in the U.S. or 120 million units a year worldwide.

It should be added that in the past, Kathy Hubert has been an outspoken critic of Apple, but in the past year, she abruptly changed her standpoint and said that Apple was clearly the Mobile Internet market leader.
